Lefras & Christina

About the couple: The couple are Lefras from Stellenbosch and Cristina from Spain. They met many years ago and after they lost contact for a few years they somehow connected again and fell in love. Lefras moved to Spain for Cristina. They had their civil marriage a few weeks ago and are now inviting all their friends and family for a weekend wedding in the mountains.

For the illustration: We believe they are free spirits and hippies at heart. So the image should give off that feeling a little bit (but not over exaggerated).

I have attached a few couple photos for you to get a feel for the two.

We would love for you to draw them like in the photo where Lefras is dipping Cristina. It’s the day of their civil marriage. This pose should be the very centre of the illustration, of course.

As for the background and mini hidden elements we were thinking of combining

– South Africa (Table Mountain) and Valencia (Buildings from the City of Arts and Sciences, e.g. Hemisfèric and the Reina Sofía Opera House and old Spanish buildings/churches – you’ll find a lot when you google Valencia). A hippie bus as this played a role when they got engaged (see screenshots of instagram stories to see how the bus looked like). Otherwise maybe proteas and wine as symbols of SA and Stellenbosch. Maybe elements of peace, love and tie die…
